Purchased this item, which advertises that it is "For walls 6-3/4" to 7-1/4"..." (Step #1 of the instructions). Per Step #2, the included screws are " ...9-1/2" long" and to determine the correct length of screw, measure the "Thru wall dimension + 2-5/8" = screw length. "
Do the math. If you have a wall that is 7 1/4" thick, and you add 2 5/8" to it, YOU WILL NEED A SCREW THAT IS 9 7/8" LONG.
The included screws are ONLY 9 1/2" long. If your walls are 7 1/4" thick, like mine are, you are out of luck.
